Attraction

freckles on your cheek
the sun rose and I saw your smile
from lipsticked lips
I fell in love with from
the morning to the night
the way you held your chin in your hand

paintings on the wall dissolved
I saw nothing but you
your dress of colour your shoulders bare
the light punctured your skin
that I wished to hold
that I wished my tears of joy would touch

your laughter hit the shimmering glass
and resonated through the room
as we looked, I drew your breath
into my lungs, I absorbed you, every inch
and your pulse became mine

    • Oh Hello – thank you for stopping by.
I must admit I did like that part ๐Ÿ™‚
Thank you my friendโ€ฆ tingly is good.

      • tingely means we are alive! LOL! so yeah, it’s a good thing.

so i have a question about colaboration…how does that work exactly, i’ve always been so singular in my creativity?

      • Well you get together with someone and like Miriam and I we don’t look at what each other writes but just let the verses grow – two different minds and thought processes.
She will say write 2 lines of a stanza, I go in and do the next 2. Or we both have the same photo/pic and I write what I feel about it and she does her version then we publish without knowing what each other has written.
I am finding it a totally fascinating way to work – it is more challenging, but extremely rewarding.

      • well, that’s just a great big WOW! how brave you both are and trusting of each other. i’m so very impressed..ty for telling me that and good on you for taking a leap!

With Jenny, it’s so easy – her work is marvellous. Our project lifts my spirits every day… there’s always something new to discover.
        Oh, the excitement! ๐Ÿ™‚

      • …well it lifts my spirits knowing two poets could share so selflessly, a truly wonderful concept…kudos to you both.:-)

      • If one mind can bring a smile, a thought or a tear, the possibilities are endless with two. We are so happy you are enjoying and thank you my friend for your kind words ๐Ÿ™‚
